Cambridge City Councillor

From January 1st, 2018 until January 1st, 2024, I served three consecutive 2-year terms on the Cambridge, Massachusetts City Council. There was never a dull moment, especially as I was an activist councillor and the COVID-19 pandemic raged during most of my second term and into my third. But we were able to accomplish a lot and I'm very proud of my service. Some of the highlights are documented on my blog below, and also on the Green New Deal for Cambridge website. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have served and make a difference on pivotal issues, including:

• alternatives to policing

• climate change

• racial justice

• tree canopy protection

• bicycle and pedestrian safety

• affordable housing

Now I'm leveraging that experience to take action on climate change in cities and towns across the nation.
